Land and property
Land and buildings are usually the most valuable things people own. We help you check what you are buying, put the agreement in writing and deal with problems if they come up.
We help with
- Checking a property before you commit: the title deed, registered mortgages, leases and servitudes, road access and any expropriation plans
- Drafting and reviewing sale, deposit and lease agreements
- Registration at the Land Office, including powers of attorney when you cannot attend
- Land documents other than a full title deed, such as Nor Sor 3 and Por Bor Tor 5, and what they allow
- Defects, shortfalls in area and other claims against sellers and developers
- Land with no legal road access, and disputes over boundaries and rights of way
For foreigners
Foreigners generally cannot own land in Thailand in their own name, but can own condominium units within a building's foreign quota. We explain the options that are open to you and the limits on each, in English.
